Welcome to the launch of my website and, my first idea hub post! My name is Dr. Satang Nabaneh, a Gambian legal scholar, researcher, and consultant with more than 10 years of experience in the field. My research and work focus on a broad range of issues related to human rights, democracy, and constitutionalism.
I am so excited to share with you my varied interests and work. I’ll be sharing my latest and past research publications, other publications/books I am reading or using in my research, updates on events I am attending/presenting, advocacy work, and media engagements.

As a scholar-advocate, I wanted a space to talk more about my research interests, publications, and personal views about development trends in The Gambia and beyond. Given that academic posts are difficult to read and boring, I hope that this blog will be a platform to make my scholarly work accessible to a readership beyond the academic sphere. I am also planning to share pictures/videos of interesting places I travel to. As an avid reader, I’ll also share what I’m currently reading, anticipated reads, mini-reviews, and quotes.
