Research for the Initiative Strategic Litigation in Africa (ISLA), South Africa

Developed a commentary for publication on the differences between the 2010 and 2020 Rules of Procedure of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights with specific on amicus curiae procedure and confidentiality; and red flags in the 2020 RoP that hinder litigation and advocacy before the ACHPR.


The Gambia’s 2020 Draft Constitution & Marginalized Groups | 2020

Research for UNFPA-Gambia

Conducted thorough desk research and produced reports of the draft constitution (2020) from gender, youth and disability perspectives respectively. Also developed Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document for use by women, youth, and Persons with Disabilities.

Developed a database of a comparative compilation of Governmental Commitments, namely inter-governmentally agreed on resolutions and Government statements concerning abortion, comprehensive sexuality education and sexuality, and non-discrimination, made by Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Zambia at the African Union and the United Nations, a quick reference for RFSU and its partners’ international advocacy.

Position Paper for UNFPA-Gambia

Developed a position paper highlighting UNFPA’s areas of interest for consideration by the Gambia Constitutional Review Commission (CRC), including the great need for women and youth representation in decision-making processes in the country.


User-Centred Design (UCD) | 2019

South Africa Country Expert for Ipas Innovation Lab, Ipas International

Provided technical support for the creation of UCDs with rigorous testing via randomized control trials (RCTs to address the growing use of conscientious objection to deny safe care, information, and referral to abortion in Mexico, Bolivia, and South Africa.

Drafted the ‘Gambia National Report on the Final Evaluation of the implementation of the ECOWAS (2010-2014) Plan of Action for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 (2000) and 1820 (2008) in West Africa and Proposal of key components for a New Plan of Action on ‘Gender, women, peace, and security in West Africa’ (2015).


Child Marriage in The Gambia | 2014

Research for Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria

Collected data from the field through focus group discussions and individual interviews with relevant stakeholders and compiled findings and wrote the report on child marriage in The Gambia and presented the report at a regional validation conference in Pretoria, South Africa.
